Why we chose it for Budapest

Native tree in Hungary. Threat status: LC

It is one of the typical deciduous trees in Hungary, it can grow up to 35 meters high, the diameter of its trunk can reach six meters. Two famous botanist, Rezső Soó and Tibor Simon, identified the subspecies in the 1950’s.

How to plant

  1. Sow three to four seeds per pot on regular garden soil.

  2. Cover the seeds with 5-10mm soil.
