Why we chose it for Princeton
German chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) is an annual plant; however, it usually comes back every year since it self-seeds so readily. Chamomile is used for herbal remedies, beverages, and skin care products.
Chamomile is a fast grower (reaching full bloom within about 10 weeks) and is best planted in the spring via seed. German chamomile produces abundant flowers, but it's a delicate plant best used for underplanting in a herb or vegetable garden, to soften rock wall edges, and is a good candidate for containers. Indoors, chamomile grows best in a south- or west-facing window that gets at least four to six hours of bright sunlight. The soil should be kept moist but not overly wet. Chamomile does not need fertilizer; it grows quickly without any particular need for feeding.

How to plant
The seed card is made from recycled paper and contains flower seeds in its structure. Plant them in a sunny spot outside, water them, and wait until they sprout.
1. Tear up the card into small pieces and bury them right under the surface of the soil.
2. Water generously. Do not allow the soil to dry out before the seedlings appear.
3. Do not forget to water your flowers periodically if it hasn’t rained for a while
