A final section grasped at eternity, first with “As with rosy steps the morn,” from Handel’s oratorio Theodora. DiDonato gave the piece a solemn sincerity, floating lovely embellishments on the da capo repeat.

Joyce DiDonato joins children from London’s Bishop Ramsey CE School for ‘Seeds of Hope’.
School children from Bishop Ramsey CE School, London, have created and recorded a new song for world-famous mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato which is being released by Erato today [22 April] to coincide with Earth Day.
The world-famous opera singer releases a new single, with a new generation asking the question: ‘What if trees could sing?’
